Magento COGS reporting

If COGS is missing, your Magento margin is fiction.

Verid helps you review product cost coverage alongside orders, refunds, shipping, payment fees and ad spend — so a profitable-looking SKU is not simply a SKU with no cost entered.

The practical workflow

Connect, sync, review the gaps, then trust the P&L.

  1. 1. Sync Magento. Verid imports order items and available cost attributes through the Integration token.
  2. 2. Open Products. Filter the recent products that have revenue but missing COGS.
  3. 3. Correct the source. Set or override the cost, then review the resulting contribution and net profit.

Find missing COGS

Review SKUs with recent revenue but zero or incomplete cost before treating their margin as trustworthy.

Handle Magento complexity

Check configurable, bundle and parent/child items instead of assuming the parent price means the product cost is complete.

Correct in bulk

Override COGS in Verid or use a CSV workflow when Magento attributes are missing or unsuitable for reporting.

Review product margin with the rest of the P&L.

COGS is only one side of profit. See it with refunds, shipping, fees and ad spend before deciding what to scale.
