The Overview page is the one screen most Verid merchants check daily. Here is what every part of it means and what to do with it, top to bottom.
The four KPI cards
Net Profit is revenue minus COGS, shipping cost, payment fees, custom expenses and ad spend for the selected range — the number that matters most.
POAS (profit on ad spend) shows gross profit ÷ ad spend. Below 1.0× means ad spend is costing you more than the margin it generates. If it reads “—”, you have not connected Meta or Google yet, or there was no spend in range — see POAS vs ROAS.
Ad Spend is raw spend across connected platforms for the range, pulled by OAuth or entered manually (integrations overview).
Margin is net profit as a percentage of revenue — useful for comparing periods of very different size.
Each card also shows a delta versus the previous period of equal length, so a single day's numbers are never read in isolation.
Cash vs cohort
The toggle above the chart switches how refunds are attributed:
- Cash books a refund on the day it happens
- Cohort books it back to the original order date
Use cash for day-to-day operating decisions and cohort for judging whether a past campaign or product was actually good. We cover this distinction fully in Cash vs Cohort: Where Magento Refunds Go in Your P&L.
The P&L stages strip
This shows the waterfall from Revenue → Gross profit → Contribution → Net profit for the range. It exists so “why is net profit lower than I expected” has an immediate answer — you can see exactly which stage ate the margin (COGS, ads, or both).
Month forecast card
Underneath the KPIs, a compact card projects where net profit is headed for the current calendar month based on the days already completed: it takes month-to-date net profit, divides by days with data, and multiplies by days in the month, with a low–high band around that estimate.
It deliberately does not show a fake “78% confidence” number — early in the month, with fewer than about a week of data, it shows the reason instead of a shaky projection. This is directional, not a guarantee: a big refund wave or a paused campaign later in the month will move the actual result.

Daily revenue and net profit lines for the selected range. Click any point to open Day Detail — the full order-by-order breakdown for that date, including every refund and ad spend line that hit it.
Profit by campaign
Bars show attributed gross profit minus spend per campaign, colored red when a campaign is net-negative after its own attributed margin. Hover a bar for POAS. If this section is empty, you have not connected an ad account, or attribution has not matched enough orders yet — see /docs/ads for setup.
Top products, and the losers block underneath
The products table ranks SKUs by profit for the range. Below it, if any products are losing money, an “Opportunities” block calls out how many and links straight into Products with the losers filter pre-applied, plus a shortcut to check ad spend behind them.
Treat that block as a to-do list, not a curiosity — a SKU losing money on every unit sold does not fix itself by getting more traffic to it.
Expenses breakdown
The donut chart on the right splits total cost into COGS, ads, shipping, fees and other/refunds for the range — useful for spotting which cost category grew before you dig into the daily chart.
What to actually do with this page
A workable daily habit:
- Check net profit and POAS deltas — did anything move sharply?
- If the losers block has entries, click through and decide: fix COGS, adjust price, or pause the SKU in ads
- Glance at the month forecast — is it trending toward a number you are comfortable with?
- If margin is soft, confirm COGS coverage is not the cause — see /docs/cogs
If you only have a minute, use yesterday’s net plus one leak instead of rereading the whole waterfall.
